Store Operations

Platform Ownership & Credit Financing Scope

The commercial e-commerce store istore.mu and brand iStore Mauritius are exclusively operated by iStore in the Republic of Mauritius.

To offer monthly hire purchase installment plans to our Mauritian customers, consumer credit processing is evaluated, underwritten, and disbursed by licensed financial institution Rogers Capital Consumer Finance Ltd. iStore acts purely as an authorized retail merchant and does not function as an independent credit lender.

02
Pricing Transparency

Cash Sale Pricing vs. Hire Purchase (Credit Terms)

The retail prices displayed directly alongside products across istore.mu represent our Cash Sale Price (inclusive of 15% Mauritius VAT). These discounted rates apply strictly to upfront electronic payment settlements, including:

MCB Juice Debit Cards Direct Credit Cards Bank Wire Transfer
Important Notice on Hire Purchase (Financing) Pricing:

The selling price and total financing expenditure for goods purchased under Hire Purchase (credit installment plans) are different from the cash sale price displayed on our product pages. Monthly repayment schedules incorporate financing interest, credit life insurance, and statutory administrative processing fees assessed by Rogers Capital. Our sales concierges will compute and communicate an itemized breakdown of your monthly installments and total credit cost before your formal contract is executed.

03
Data Protection Guarantee

WhatsApp Document Collection & Strict Purge Protocol

To accelerate turnaround times and spare customers unnecessary physical store visits, required KYC (Know Your Customer) documents are collected directly through our official WhatsApp concierge (+230 5794 5816):

  • Proof of Identity: High-resolution photos of your National Identity Card (NIC) or Passport (both front and back).
  • Proof of Regular Income: Recent payslips (latest 1–2 months) or 3 consecutive months of bank statements for self-employed applicants.
  • Proof of Residential Address: Recent utility bill (CEB, CWA, or home telecom) dated within the last 3 months.
Immediate Permanent Purge

Zero Document Retention Guarantee

Your personal data and financial proofs are handled under strict confidentiality protocols. Your documents are used solely to assemble and submit your credit application dossier to Rogers Capital.

Whether your application is approved or rejected by Rogers Capital, all submitted media files, photos, payslips, and utility bills are permanently deleted and purged from our internal smartphones, temporary folders, and messaging chats immediately following the outcome.

We maintain zero offline physical files, zero cloud backups of identity records, and never share or monetize your information with external marketing agencies.

04
Credit Assessment

MCIB Checks & Underwriting Discretion

By submitting your KYC documents for credit processing, you explicitly authorize Rogers Capital Consumer Finance Ltd to perform necessary creditworthiness verifications, including pulling your repayment history and active credit exposure through the Mauritius Credit Information Bureau (MCIB).

Submitting documents does not constitute an automatic grant of credit. All credit scoring, debt-to-income assessments, interest margins, and lending approvals remain at the sole discretion of Rogers Capital under Bank of Mauritius directives. iStore exercises zero influence over credit outcomes.

05
Equity Contribution

Down Payment & Deposit Requirements

While 100% financing without an upfront deposit is available for qualifying credit profiles, Rogers Capital's underwriting assessment may determine that a customer requires an initial cash deposit (typically 10% to 20% of the equipment value) to keep debt-service ratios within statutory limits.

Should a down payment be required by Rogers Capital, this amount must be settled directly with iStore (via MCB Juice, debit/credit card, or bank transfer) before product handover or delivery dispatch can be scheduled.

06
Inventory Policy

Stock Allocation During Credit Review

Submitting a credit request or obtaining preliminary pre-qualification does not automatically reserve, hold, or lock warehouse inventory for your chosen device. Physical units are allocated strictly upon formal signing and clearance of the financing contract by Rogers Capital.

Because physical inventory moves quickly on cash sales, if your selected color or storage capacity becomes out of stock during the 24–72 hour credit review cycle, you will be assigned immediate priority on our next incoming shipment or offered an alternative available configuration.

07
Delivery Security

Physical Identity Verification Upon Handover

To safeguard our clients against identity theft and unauthorized proxy applications, handover of all credit-financed products requires physical presentation of the original National Identity Card (NIC) or Passport matching the approved applicant profile.

The delivery reception note and hire purchase contracts must be physically signed by the applicant in person. Third-party collections or door drop-offs without physical identification matching the dossier will be declined.

08
Regulatory Compliance

Application Cancellation & Mauritius DPA 2017

Customers retain the right to cancel their credit application at any point prior to signing the final loan agreement with Rogers Capital without financial penalty. Once agreements are signed and goods are unsealed, standard Apple warranty terms apply.

All document collection conforms strictly to the provisions of the Mauritius Data Protection Act (DPA 2017). For questions or verification of your document deletion, our support concierges are available:
